CLOSED – Funding Opportunity – 2020 WHDC Community Benefits Grant Awards

COVID-19 UPDATE: From 2013 through 2019, WHDC awarded $11.5M in grants to 177 nonprofit organizations to provide services to residents of CD9. WHDC has made preliminary decisions on the 2020 CBG and will, therefore, postpone the announcement of all grant awardees that was scheduled for April 30, 2020 until further notice. We need to assess the capacity of applicants to deliver services under the impact and guidelines of COVID-19. We are surveying the capacities and changes in proposed deliverables of prospective grant applicants.
West Harlem Development Corporation’s 2020 Community Benefits Grant funds programs in the areas of:
- Education & Youth Development
- Affordable Housing
- Workforce and Economic Development
- Community Facilities (including Arts and Culture, Environment, Transportation, and Historic Preservation)
Applicants may apply for a one-year general support grant ranging from $5,000 to $25,000. Support funds are designed to enable a non-profit organization to enhance its capacity and/or direct program activities between July 1, 2020 and June 30, 2021. The application period for WHDC’s 2020 Community Benefits Grant has closed.
