WHDC & CU SPS Host “Strategy Development for Top-Rate Fundraising” Workshop

West Harlem Development Corporation and Columbia’s School for Professional Studies joined forces again to host a number of WHDC’s grantees and other nonprofits for their third session in the Excellence in Nonprofit Management Workshop Series.
This series is devoted specifically to helping WHDC Grantees and nonprofit managers create a deeper, more sustainable impact in New York City. The topic for the workshop held on Thursday, May 9th was Strategy Development for Top-Rate Fundraising.
Executive directors, staff, and board members gathered at Columbia University’s Faculty House to engage in conversation, breakout sessions and Q&A on how to better serve their constituents and project their mission to the community.

- Why is it important to develop and refresh your organizational strategy to optimize fundraising?
- What are the most important decisions for the board and staff when developing a strategy?
- What are some practical tools and resources, especially for a small nonprofit?
