GED Education Courses for Local Youth (ages 16 – 24)
May 1, 2013
Community Impact at Columbia University helps students attain their High School Equivalency Diploma and prepares them to enroll in higher education. To achieve this, Community Impact supplements traditional classes with the classes and services of the organization’s College Road program.
College Road classes bridge the gap between GED pre- and post-secondary education and provide students with the tools they will need to be successful in college, career training and the workplace. College Road classes include: tutoring, math lab, writing lab, core & community, college preparation, mentoring and college counseling.
Classes meet throughout the year on Columbia’s campus. The schedule is Monday through Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. or 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. For more information, call Ted Gershon at 212-854-1116.
