Lloyd A. Williams

West Harlem Development Corporation’s Board and Staff extend their deepest condolences on the passing of the Greater Harlem Chamber of Commerce President and CEO and Harlem leader, Lloyd A. Williams.

Lloyd Williams passed away during HARLEM WEEK – the event he co-founded over 50 years ago to showcase to the world Harlem’s grandeur and beauty while promoting it’s leadership as the center of international culture, music and the arts. He was a pillar of the community who dedicated his life to uplifting the economic, educational and cultural identity of Harlem while improving the quality of life for all who lived or worked in the Village of Harlem. Rest in Peace.
