MBP Gale Brewer’s Black History Month Reception

In honor of the 100th anniversary of the Harlem Renaissance and in remembrance of the late Toni Morrison, the Manhattan Borough President’s Office will celebrate this year’s Black History Month by commemorating Black authors.

You are invited to join local luminaries in reading favorite literary passages from African-American writers, poets, folklorists, and cultural icons of the early 20th century Harlem Renaissance through today.

A reception will follow the readings.
