What You Need to Know: COVID-19 Insurance Claims and Commercial Leases for Small Businesses

Has your business suffered from COVID-19 losses? Have you been struggling with filing an insurance claim or negotiating your commercial lease?

Join Council Member Mark Levine for a virtual presentation with lawyers from the Legal Aid Society and the New York Women’s Chamber of Commerce to get your questions answered. Following the seminar, you can sign up for a free private consultation with a lawyer. To sign up for legal consultation, please call our office at (212) 928-6814.

The discussion will address how COVID-19 claims can be covered, the types of insurance policies that cover those claims, and best practices for policyholders. Lawyers would also discuss the impact of COVID-19 on commercial leases including obligations to pay (or not pay) rent during the pandemic, provisions that may excuse non-performance, and conditions under which commercial leases may be terminated.
